PLACES TO VISIT IN PHUKET

Phuket - A very beautiful, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea is home to many budget and high end hotels, resorts,spas and restaurants. Some of the places to visit in Phuket are as follows:

1. Bangla Road

Bangla Road is just a walking distance from Patong Beach. A unique experience of a kind, this red light street comes to life at night time. Bars, Pubs and roadside eateries line the area and is frequented by almost everyone who comes to Phuket. Pole dancing girls, ping pong shows etc are all present to provide you with a unique experience. At day time, the area is just like a normal lane. Be sure to visit this place at night to get the experience and energy of this place.

2. Tiger Kingdom

Here, you will get to stay along with a tiger for around 10 minutes and click photos with them. But you can stay inside the place for as long as you like. You can even pet the tigers and hug them. The prices vary according to the size and type of the tiger. The smallest tiger cubs are the most expensive, followed by the "big size tiger" followed by the normal average size tiger. It is advised not to approach the tigers from the front and touch only the back side.

3. Big Buddha Phuket

It is one of the most sacred and revered places in Phuket. The statue is situated at the top of Nakkerd Hill, near Chalong. Entry is free here.The place is very peaceful and serene. Expect to spend around 1-2 hours at this place. This place is situated around 23 kms from Patong Beach. It is recommended to book a private taxi or two wheeler while going there.

4. Simon Cabaret Show

This is a show where ladyboys perform in glittering dresses and makeup. The show is around 1 hours duration. This show is one of the most popular shows in Thailand and is checked by most tourists. After the show, you can take photographs along with the ladyboys by compulsorily giving them a tip. Normally the pick up and drop from your hotel is included in the ticket price. Cameras are not allowed inside the performing area. There is a steep fine if anyone records the program inside.

5. Phuket FantaSea

This is another popular show which features acrobatics, animals and different other performances. This show is priced on the higher side and to be honest, it's not worth the price of the tickets. But still, I visited the place as it was on the must visit places in Phuket. Cameras and all other recording devices, including mobile phones must be deposited at the counter which are returned after the show.

6. Phuket Go Kart

There are many tracks available for doing Go Karting. But this is also one experience that one should not miss. Although Go Karting is available in almost all major tourist places, I have still recommended this activity to do in Phuket.
