UAE Visa for Indians

Dubai1.jpg

Indian Citizens require a visa to visit the United Arab Emirates. The Visa process is fairly simple and it is very easy to get the Visa provided you have the necessary documents in hand. The UAE Visa is basically an E-Visa and you get it within a week of applying for the same. However, the catch here is that you cannot apply for it directly. You have to apply for it through an external agent. In India, there are many agents like MakeMyTrip, Musafir, Yatra etc which will help you to get your Visa. The charges are around Rs 6000 per person approximately.

Documents Required for an United Arab Emirates Tourist Visa (Single Entry):

1. Passport (with a validity period of 6 months)

2. Passport Size Photograph preferably taken within the last six months in white background

When you apply online for the Visa, you need a scanned copy of the first and last page of your passport and also a soft copy of your photo. Scanned copies of photographs are not recommended because they may be rejected. Other then the documents mentioned above, it is preferable that you have your return flight tickets and hotel bookings along with proof of sufficient funds in your account in case you are asked to provide for the same.

It hardly takes 10 minutes to apply for the Visa. You can book it from the comfort of your home and get the Visa delivered to your mail within 5-7 days. After getting the visa, it is preferable to take a hard copy print out of the same.

Remember that all persons (including infants) need a Visa to enter the United Arab Emirates. With the Visa, you can travel to all the seven emirates namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain.

You are also eligible for a Visa On Arrival if you hold a valid US Visa or US Green Card

In case your passport has ECR (Emigration Check Required) stamped, then you need an OTB (Ok to Board) in addition to your Visa. This OTB document is provided by the airline in which you are flying.

If you book your flight through Emirates or Etihad, then you can get the visa from the airlines itself. Just login to their respective websites and get your visa. You will need a confirmed return ticket to be able to apply for the Visa. Keep in mind that you need to create a round trip booking request i.e you must have ONE booking ID for your to and fro flights. In case you book your flights like this DELHI-DUBAI and DUBAI-DELHI in two transactions, then you won't be able to apply because their system doesn't permit it.
